OfficeScape Projects Limited, a UK Design and Build company, opened its branch office in Moscow in 1995 having identified a niche service offering the sourcing and supply of the local and imported fit-out materials and also its services as a specialist sub-contractor. OfficeScape supplied the materials to many Class A buildings of the period including Ducat II, Riverside Gardens, Paveletskaya 1, Gogolevsky 11 and Usadba.

In June of 1998 OfficeScape entered the Moscow general contractor market with a major project for Credit Suisse First Boston at Gogolevsky 11 finishing the fit-out of 9,500 m2, including items, such as, raised floor, suspended ceiling and cable management systems.

After the Russian market crash of August 1998 many clients and associates left Russia. It was at this stage that OfficeScape decided to expand the Branch Office and offer full Architectural, Design and Build services. Experience in both materials supply and as a specialist sub-contractor, enabled OfficeScape to be extremely competitive as a general contractor; additionally our experienced workforce, both British and Russian with our local tradesmen trained by their British counterparts, was now well established.

Projects in 1999 and 2000 included the fit out of Wrigley’s headquarters building (1,500 m2), KPMG Head Office (4,500 m2), Philip Morris’s St. Petersburg factory high grade areas, Yukos Management Dacha complex over a period of two and a half years, and the Schlumberger headquarters (6,000 m2) amongst others.

Having developed and maintained a strong skills base throughout the depressed business period August 1998 and the last quarter of 2002, OfficeScape Projects was well placed to take advantage of the upturn in the market in late 2002. The company subsequently became one of the largest fit out contractors in the market place and what is more the only truly, Design and Build Company having all the required expertise and disciplines in-house.
